Aircraft carriers- 1912
The first plan to launch off a moving ship was in may 1912. It was a pontoon biplane, piloted by Charles Rumney Samson. At first, aircrafts weren't able to land on the moving ships, they would land on the water, then be lifted onto the carrier, slowing down the whole process. It was until 1914 that they were able to land plans on a moving ship.

Mobile X-Ray Machines - October 1914
As soldiers began to need immediate medical attention, Great Britians Empire noticed that they could not provide medics as fast as they needed too. They needed machines to help the injured soldiers but even those were either too large or too delicate to move. This is when Marie Curie set off to create mobile x-rays. They immediately began installing them in vehicles that would go to medic stations and help the soldiers there.
